Cancellation & Refund Policy – Ran With A Cam
Retainers & Booking
All sessions and events require a non-refundable retainer to secure the scheduled date and time. The retainer is applied toward the total session cost and confirms your booking.
Dates are not reserved until both a signed agreement and retainer payment have been received.
Client Cancellations
If a client cancels a scheduled session for any reason:
The retainer is non-refundable
Any payments made beyond the retainer may be refunded at the Photographer’s discretion, based on timing and circumstances
This policy applies to all services, including portraits, events, and specialty sessions
Rescheduling
Rescheduling requests are handled with reasonable flexibility when possible:
Requests made more than 72 hours prior to the scheduled session may be accommodated once, subject to availability
Requests made within 72 hours of the session may result in forfeiture of the retainer
Additional rescheduling requests may require a new retainer.
No-Shows
Failure to attend a scheduled session without prior notice will be considered a no-show.
All payments, including the retainer, are forfeited
A new booking and retainer will be required to schedule a future session
Weather & Force Majeure
For outdoor sessions, weather-related decisions will be made collaboratively.
If circumstances beyond either party’s control occur (including but not limited to severe weather, illness, emergencies, or other unforeseen events):
The session may be rescheduled without penalty
Refunds are not guaranteed and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis
Photographer Cancellation
In the unlikely event that the Photographer must cancel due to illness, emergency, or unforeseen circumstances:
A full refund of all payments will be issued
The Photographer’s liability is limited to the total amount paid.
Creative Style & Satisfaction
Photography is a creative service, and all work is delivered in the Photographer’s established style.
Refunds will not be issued based on dissatisfaction with artistic elements, including but not limited to editing style, composition, or creative direction, provided services were delivered as agreed.
Acknowledgment
By booking with Ran With A Cam, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to this Cancellation & Refund Policy.
